Named after the tram across the road
Fish Tram Chips is a family-run fish & chip café and takeaway on Old Road, directly opposite the Great Orme Tramway's Victoria station. Tessa runs it with her husband Jon and her parents Steve and Alison — and the name was her idea, a nod to the town's famous tram.
Everything is cooked fresh to order: cod, haddock, hake and plaice in a light, crisp batter, chips cooked fresh, and homemade mushy peas. There's a small licensed café alongside the fish bar with table service, plus takeaway and delivery on Just Eat. It was named the number-one chip shop in Llandudno in the North Wales Pioneer's TripAdvisor round-up — and even Brian May has been in for scampi and chips.
